HI, EBBA HERE ~

As part of the capstone course in my

Strategic Communication

master’s program, I was tasked to

create a parallax webpage

depicting a story about

something I want to promote.

So, let me tell you about Sasha.

Sasha is like my alter-ego.

I discovered fiction writing through

writing from Sasha’s voice and now

I’m publishing a whole series using her name.

I have a penname!

PASSING THE TORCH

What kind of story is so special

I had to create a whole penname for it, you ask?

Well, let me tell you!

One night, when everyone else in my house was asleep,

my fingers were like magnets and pulled

toward my notebook.

A very funny and surprisingly smutty short story

poured onto the keyboard.

It was one of the most thrilling things

I’d ever felt! - haha

I thought about that feeling for some time.

When a plot worthy of writing (and reading) hit me,

my fingers -> keyboard =

the beginning of 52 Weeks.

Without further ado ~

INTRODUCING . . .

PLOTTING AND PANTSING

I’m lucky in that I identify as both

a plotter and a pantser.

Wait a minute... What are

plotters and pantsers?... amirite?

Plotters sit down to framework a story. Or stand, it doesn’t really matter, what matters is that a plotter is able to create a structured story with

a beginning, a middle, and an end.

A pantser (short for ‘writing by the seat of one’s pants’), on the other hand, can sit down and start typing and words pour onto a page at ease with the pantser having created scenarios that flow together and include relatable characters, details, and flair.

SASHA’S PROFILE

Now that I had a memorable penname,

a story worth telling,

(estimated to be 785,000 words!)

and was preparing to take this

steamy new story to market,

I needed a provocative profile image

to complement them.

Most artists start with an idea of what

they want to make and then use references

to help achieve their ultimate goal.

I knew I wanted an image that provoked a romantic but mysterious feeling,

like the series I’m writing.

So, I searched for a striking image of a model wearing a blindfold. That’s how I found the lovely lady to the left (or top for mobile). I used her image as a reference for Sasha’s profile picture.

WHAT IS THE STORY ABOUT?

EQUAL PARTS ROMANCE, MYSTERY,

AND ADVENTURE!

52 Weeks

in Estonia

Book 1: Leah’s Winter Season

By

52 Weeks follows an irreverent, but loveable protagonist who receives a surprise present on her

first day in a year-long ‘artist in residence’

at a manor in Estonia.

The present giver is unknown.

Between the present’s instructions, which always keep her busy, and the cast of layered characters, which always keep her distracted, Leah is kept from

solving her present mystery.

52 Weeks has a strong female lead, light humor,

and NO violence. It is a gentle love story

with suspense and intrigue.

Travel with Leah Lapinski on her journey as she

discovers both herself and eventually,

the identity of her benefactor.
